Drinking Scattergories

(Pre-note: This game should only be played by responsible adults looking to have fun and make total idiots of themselves.)
There’s always a way to adopt drinking into a game. Some board games make it a bit more difficult; you’d really have to think your way through a drunken game of Monopoly, for example, or maybe Scrabble. Luckily for you, however, it’s really easy to turn Scattergories into a drinking game.
The rules are simple. Start play as normal, but have plenty of shots or liquor bottles or whatever around you. Whatever you prefer. Go through an entire list. Once the list is done and the points for the round have been totaled, look for the round’s winner (in other words, the player with the most points). Every player whose points went UNDER that number have to take a drink.
Here’s the catch, though. The player isn’t necessarily relegated to one drink. The number of drinks necessary depends on how many points you went below the winning player. For example:
- You got 5 points
- Winner got 8 points
- 8 - 5 = 3
So you have to take three drinks. Sounds simple enough, no? Problem is, you have twelve rounds to go through - and every drink you take is going to impair your answers just that little bit more. Have fun forming cogent responses once you’ve had a few dozen drinks.
