Categories for Scattergories range from the mundane to the absolutely bizarre. And, even if they are mundane, you can usually come up with some crazy answers in the effort to score points.

The standard categories for Scattergories are what you might expect of a first edition of a game. They feature fairly typical topics, such as actors, actresses, TV shows, items kept in desks, animals, insects, foods, places, parks, historical figures, authors, and anything else you can think of that could be even remotely quiz-able.

There is also one ‘refill’ pack that comes with 18 new cards and a brand new stack of score sheets, those 18 cards including 144 brand new categories to choose from. And if that’s not enough, it’s exceedingly simple to come up with your own categories, whether you got with a similar theme on each card or make all the subjects random.
